Boosting Awareness and Utilization of Student Services

Partner: Auburn University Graduate School & Medical Clinic

  • Project: The clinic needed to increase student engagement with its wide range of preventative care services. Many students were only aware of its urgent care function, leading to underutilization of resources designed to support their overall well-being.
  • Approach: I was invited to narrate the following video to raise awareness of the clinic's comprehensive services. 
  • Outcome: The campaign significantly raised awareness of the clinic's comprehensive services. 

Enhancing Retention for Doctoral Students

Partner: Auburn University Graduate School

  • Project: With thousands of students across dozens of distinct programs, the Graduate School needed to foster a unifying sense of community to enhance the student experience and support retention.
  • Approach: As a content editor in partnership with the Graduate School's communications, I helped architect a consistent, warm, and authoritative institutional voice. This involved editing the presentation for clear messaging to be delivered it through compelling narration, creating a reliable and recognizable source of information and connection for all graduate students.
  • Outcome: This consistent communication strategy was instrumental in promoting resources directly supported student retention efforts.

Driving Recruitment, Targeted Program Storytelling


 Partner: Auburn University College of Liberal Arts, History Ph.D. Program

  • Project: The program aimed to attract a stronger, more diverse pool of applicants in a highly competitive academic field. They needed to clearly articulate the unique value and career opportunities their program offered.
  • Approach: I collaborated, with the program and the Office of Communications, on this special project to tell the story of the program from the inside out. By creating content that featured the authentic voice and experience of a current student, we showcased the program's vibrant intellectual community and demystified the path to a history doctorate.
  •  Outcome: The new, story-driven materials directly supported the program's recruitment goals. The targeted content intended to resonate with prospective students, resulting in a stronger and more diverse applicant pool and elevating the program's profile.
